O.T.H Ryde Jamaica

Terms and Conditions

Effective for services provided in Jamaica

These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and services provided by O.T.H Ryde in Jamaica. By making a booking or using any O.T.H Ryde service, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Mileage and Pricing

Driven mileage will be calculated using the quickest route between two locations as shown on Google Maps using standard settings.

Mileage will be rounded up to the nearest whole mile.

Google Maps is the only mileage source used by O.T.H Ryde for calculating driven mileage charges. All mileage-based prices quoted by O.T.H Ryde are calculated using Google Maps mileage.

Unless otherwise stated, prices quoted for vehicle transportation are per vehicle and not per passenger.

O.T.H Ryde reserves the right to adjust the quoted price if the journey details provided by the customer are incorrect, incomplete, or materially different from the actual journey requirements.

Any additional services, stops, waiting time, special requirements, excess luggage, or changes to the original booking may result in additional charges.

2. Accuracy of Booking Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied when making a booking is accurate and complete.

Customers must check that they have provided the correct:

  • Date of travel
  • Pickup time
  • Flight number
  • Airport
  • Pickup address
  • Destination address
  • Passenger details
  • Contact telephone number
  • Number of passengers
  • Luggage requirements
  • Other relevant travel information

For airport bookings, the correct flight number is particularly important.

O.T.H Ryde cannot be held responsible for a reservation being cancelled, rejected, delayed, not guaranteed, or otherwise affected because incorrect or invalid information was provided by the customer.

Customers must notify O.T.H Ryde as soon as possible if any booking information changes.

3. Drivers, Contractors and Subcontractors

O.T.H Ryde may use its own drivers, independent drivers, contractors, or subcontracted transportation providers to provide its services.

Drivers and transportation providers will be appropriately licensed and insured as required under applicable Jamaican laws and regulations.

O.T.H Ryde will make reasonable efforts to ensure that customers receive a professional and safe service.

4. Driver Information and Driver Familiarity

Where available, O.T.H Ryde may provide the passenger with the assigned driver's:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Photograph
  • Vehicle information

Driver information may be provided through the O.T.H Ryde app, by email, or by another approved communication method before the journey.

For safety, security, and customer familiarity, O.T.H Ryde will try to assign the same driver to a customer throughout their booking or regular travel arrangements where reasonably possible.

The purpose of this is to promote:

  • Passenger safety
  • Driver familiarity
  • Customer confidence
  • Better communication
  • A more consistent transportation experience

However, O.T.H Ryde cannot guarantee that the same driver will always be available. Drivers may need to be changed because of availability, illness, vehicle problems, scheduling requirements, emergencies, traffic conditions, operational requirements, or other circumstances.

If a replacement driver is required, O.T.H Ryde will make reasonable efforts to provide updated driver information to the customer where practicable.

Customers must not use a driver's personal contact information for purposes unrelated to their O.T.H Ryde booking or service.

5. Customer Service and Contact

Booking enquiries and general enquiries are normally handled between:

O.T.H Ryde reserves the right to provide a different make or model of vehicle from the vehicle displayed in an image on the booking page.

The vehicle category booked will be respected wherever reasonably possible.

For example, if a customer books a Saloon/Sedan, a Saloon/Sedan will be provided, but the make and model may differ from the vehicle shown on the website.

The same applies to other vehicle categories.

Customers requiring a specific vehicle make, model, accessibility feature, child seat, or other special requirement must state this at the time of booking. Special requests are subject to availability.

7. Payment Methods

O.T.H Ryde accepts the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Account payment
  • Debit card
  • Credit card

Customers must use the payment method agreed at the time of booking or as instructed by O.T.H Ryde.

O.T.H Ryde reserves the right to require payment:

  • Before the journey
  • At the time of booking

Any additional charges incurred during the journey may be payable in addition to the original quoted price.

Where reasonably possible, O.T.H Ryde will advise the customer of additional charges before they are incurred.

9. Baby and Child Seats

O.T.H Ryde may provide baby or child seats as an additional service, subject to availability and an applicable charge.

Customers must provide the child's age when making the booking.

Babies and children are considered passengers and must therefore be included when determining the appropriate vehicle size.

Parents or guardians remain responsible for ensuring that the child is appropriately secured and that the correct child-seat requirements have been communicated to O.T.H Ryde.

10. Additional Pickups and Drop-offs

Any pickup or drop-off not included in the original booking may incur an additional charge.

Customers must provide all required pickup and destination locations when making their booking.

Additional stops are subject to availability and may affect the total journey price and journey time.

11. Driver and Vehicle Conduct

All O.T.H Ryde drivers are expected to conduct themselves professionally and operate vehicles in accordance with applicable Jamaican laws and regulations.

All O.T.H Ryde vehicles operate a strict no-smoking policy.

Examples include:

  • Smoking inside the vehicle
  • Spilling substances that cause damage

  • Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ)

13. Airport Arrival Pickup

For airport arrivals, O.T.H Ryde will, where reasonably possible, monitor the customer's flight using available airport, airline, internet, or other flight-information services.

The driver will allow approximately one hour from the actual aircraft landing time for the passenger to complete:

  • Immigration
  • Customs
  • Baggage collection
  • Exit from the terminal

After this period, the driver will park and meet the passenger outside the arrival waiting area.

The driver will display or hold the passenger's name so that the passenger can identify the driver.

Passengers should proceed to the designated arrival waiting area outside the terminal after collecting their luggage.

If the passenger cannot locate the driver, they must contact O.T.H Ryde immediately:

Call & WhatsApp: +1 876 630 2063

Where reasonably possible, O.T.H Ryde will adjust the driver's schedule according to the actual flight landing time. However, this cannot always be guaranteed, particularly where a flight arrives significantly earlier than scheduled.

14. Flight Delays, Cancellations and Changes

Customers must provide the correct flight number when making an airport booking.

Where a flight is delayed and updated information is available, O.T.H Ryde will make reasonable efforts to adjust the driver's schedule.

Customers must contact O.T.H Ryde as soon as possible if their flight is:

  • Delayed
  • Cancelled
  • Diverted
  • Missed
  • Changed to another flight

Customers should not assume that their original booking will automatically remain valid following a flight change.

Call & WhatsApp: +1 876 630 2063

15. Airport No-Show

If a customer fails to meet the driver after the applicable waiting period and does not communicate with O.T.H Ryde, the driver may leave the airport.

The booking may then be treated as a NO SHOW.

A no-show may result in the customer being charged the full booking amount, and no refund may be provided.

Customers are strongly advised to contact O.T.H Ryde immediately if they experience any difficulty locating their driver.

16. Luggage

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all luggage is properly loaded and unloaded.

Drivers may assist with loading or unloading luggage where reasonably possible, but customers remain responsible for checking that all belongings have been collected before leaving the vehicle.

Neither O.T.H Ryde nor its contracted or subcontracted drivers accepts responsibility for loss of or damage to luggage except where such responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

17. Excess Luggage

Customers are responsible for booking the correct vehicle according to the number of passengers and amount of luggage.

A driver may refuse luggage that would make the vehicle unsafe or exceed its reasonable capacity.

An additional charge may apply where additional vehicle capacity is required.

20. Waiting Time — Airport

For airport arrivals, approximately one hour from the actual aircraft landing time is allowed for the passenger to complete immigration, customs, baggage collection, and exit the terminal.

Additional waiting beyond the applicable waiting period may incur an additional charge.

Customers should contact O.T.H Ryde as soon as possible if they require additional waiting time.

21. Waiting Time — Hotel, Address and Other Pickups

For hotel, residential address, cruise terminal, and other scheduled pickups, a 5-minute complimentary waiting period will normally be provided from the scheduled pickup time.

If the passenger cannot be contacted after the complimentary waiting period, the driver may leave the location.

Where the driver leaves because the passenger has failed to appear or communicate, the passenger may remain responsible for the full cost of the booking.

If the driver agrees to continue waiting, additional waiting charges may apply.

22. Cruise Terminal Pickup

For cruise terminal pickups, the meeting point will normally be outside the cruise terminal or another location agreed with the customer and/or driver.

Customers must provide accurate cruise arrival information and a working telephone number.

If the customer cannot locate the driver:

Call & WhatsApp: +1 876 630 2063
